I'm the co-founder and CEO of E29 Incorporated, a service oriented software shop near Washington DC. While this is my official blog, my thoughts and opinions expressed here do not reflect those of my company, yada yada.

Maximum car drama, ACTIVATE

I tell ya, I finally get something nice going and it blows up.

My BMW’s torque converter went out in the tranny, landing me a nice ~$4000 bill for repairs.  I’m willing to stick with the car and not sell it, since even my Dad said that it’s probably the only thing that will ever go wrong with the car.

It better be :P

I’m getting some estimates from shops, and getting a second opinion tomorrow to make sure it’s the TCC and not something easy like the connector ( what I thought it was originally ).  These things do happen, and do break I guess, just wish it would have done it about 60,000 more miles from now :P

Other than that, things are well.  We’re working on a pretty awesome product for E29, and will be announcing it in the coming weeks after Serenity 2007.2 is released on the 29th.  It promises to be a shakeup for the web industry, and will directly compete with IPS’ pricey (future)offerings.

We’ll know in about a month, 2 months if we got the new contract at Citizant.  I’ve poked around and let it be known that I would be interested in helping out from HQ if we get it.  I don’t fancy driving into DC everyday for work, way too much traffic.

Christy and Tara will be flying out to LA on Friday, I’m supposed to go to Chris’ wedding, but I’ll be sans car, and I’m afraid of taxing Christy’s Corolla too much.  16 hour round trip, it should be fine, but I’m a bit gun shy of car problems right now.  I get a whole Christy-free week, so I think I’ll drink some cold ones, work some long hours, and play lots of GT4.   Maybe not in that order.

I’ve been feeling the need to blog about the happenings over at Six Apart and LJ, over the pedo journals and communities.  Basically a bunch of high school drama, furthered by the fact that 90% of LJ’s userbase are high schoolers.

Yeah, time to lay around on the couch again :P
