Hey, it’s November

And I skipped the last Friday Five.  Eh :P

It’s November, and that means: Nanowrimo!  Which I have swore I was going to win for the past five years, and never have.

Well, this year, I’m not going to win, so there :P But, later this month I will be posting up an excerpt from The 13th Hour.  I’ve been chugging away on it, and it’s set to be published at the end of next year, probably November 2008 actually. It will be good to finally finish it after all these years, considering that the entire storyline started out on a scrape piece of paper in Fall 2001, with the following:

Carissa making her way down a road, 2-3 am one night.  Raining, cold, she’s been wandering for hours after escaping her boyfriend.  She has her backpack with her, with her blanket, a couple of schoolbooks and a leather journal from her grandmother about the great professor James Foxx from the 1800’s.

The only thing that the excerpt has in common with the current revision is the names, but it did start my brain churning.  Now hopefully six years, and five revisions later, it will be finished up and ready for my two fans :P
