Kinderism is, obviously, my personal website. I had the idea for Kinderism as far back as 2000, but just never was interested enough in the idea to plan it out until ‘05.

The first real version of Kinderism didn’t come about until mid 2006. I launched a blog, and started mirroring content from my Livejournal and Myspace ( yeah, unfortunately I do have one of those ). I used Movable Type, a beta version of IP.Dynamic ( until I no longer worked at IPS and was told to remove it post haste ), and finally settled on Wordpress.

The idea of Kinderism that I had in 2000 was a bit different from just the website I have now. I used to have the Rules of Kinderism, and the Philosophy of Kinderism all through high school and into college. Between myself and a few close friends we had a basic set of rules for life, which were nicknamed the Kinderism’s. The idea for the site was to have these rules and philosophies loosely typed out and satired, and allow members to have a blog, and be called Kinderist’s.

But, after I got older the idea got lamer, so I decided to use Kinderism as a personal blog, photo, and discussion site. I have some more plans for it in the future, including member karma, but that’ll be for the next version

Kinderism is currently hosted on shared hosting from A Small Orange. The site is powered by Wordpress, with some custom modifications, and a highly customized version of a free theme I found on the net a few months ago.
