So I closed out my Wachovia account because they suck so much, and need to change my credit card for Verizon’s auto-pay system.
If anyone forgot, I’ve had so many issues in the past with Verizon that it’s not even funny.
So now, I do have a login account for Verizon. I go to the site, login, and go to their payment section and see:
Ohhh we’re sorry, we are improving our billing system, go to verizon.net to pay your bill
Alright, fine. I go to Verizon.net and try to sign in with no luck. I click on the handy ‘Register’ button and see that I need my original Verizon FIOS work order number to get an account. I have no fucking idea where that piece of paper went.
After giving up on that and just sending an email, I go to the ‘Request Repair’ section since my connection went from 15mb to 5mb for some reason. After 15 minutes of bullshit, I get “We can’t find your order information, sorry.”
After a profanity laced tirade, I decide to see if the assholes have downgraded the lines without telling anyone. I click on the handy ‘Change my plan’ button on my dashboard, and get the following screenshot:

If you look at the screenshot closer, you’ll see that it isn’t even my account that they pulled up. So here I am, no repair status, can’t change my credit card, and Verizon just gave me full access to someone elses account.
I nominate Verizon for Shittiest Company of 2008.
